Interpersonal Communications
We speak, we talk on our cells,
we text, we IM, we send faxes -- and so we assume
we communicate effectively. Often, perhaps too often,
this assumption is false. Effective interpersonal
communication is a conscious, purposeful act. It
requires focused involvement from the message sender
and the message recipient. An Interpersonal Communication
Skills for Professionals session will help develop
this vital skill.
The link between effective
interpersonal communication skills and professional
success is examined in this program. Participants
review, develop and apply strategies to make meetings,
phone calls, and electronic messaging more effective.
You will also identify your natural communication
style and learn how to recognize the style preferred
by those you work with, and for. This knowledge
can maximize communications effectiveness. Non-verbal
skills are covered as well, as is the "secret to
communication excellence" -- listening.
